About RepCount

The workout tracker built by lifters, for lifters

Hi, I'm Simon — the developer behind RepCount.

I've been lifting for almost 20 years. I've competed in Fitness Five — a Swedish strength competition combining pull-ups, dips, bench press, squats, and curls — reaching the national finals in 2014, where I squatted 1.5x bodyweight for 25 reps in 100 seconds and benched bodyweight for 23 reps. Tracking my lifts has been a key part of my own progression throughout the years.

I also have a master's degree in computer engineering and have spent my career building mobile apps — starting back in the Java ME and Symbian days, through to iOS and Android. In 2013, I searched the App Store for a workout tracker that was fast to use, fully customizable, and built for tracking progression. I couldn't find one, so I built RepCount.

What started as a side project has since grown into my full-time job. Today, with over 2 million downloads, RepCount is used by strength athletes, powerlifters, bodybuilders, personal trainers, and gym-goers all over the world. I now lead a small team fully dedicated to helping hundreds of thousands of lifters get stronger.

To everyone who's left a five-star review or taken the time to report a bug — thank you. You've shaped this app as much as I have.
