How do you perform a machine pullover?

Set up

  1. Adjust the seat and start position so your shoulders line up with the machine pivot.
  2. Sit against the back pad and take the handles, using any arm supports and entry lever as the machine directs.

Execution

  1. Bring your upper arms down toward your sides while keeping your back on the pad.
  2. Finish with the upper arms near your torso, keeping contact with the pad without forcing the range.
  3. Return slowly to a comfortable overhead position and use the entry lever to exit if needed.
